Handling the load with hands during lifting operations can be dangerous: use a push/pull pole allows maneuvering the load keeping away from the line of fire as well as avoiding pinch points.

Push/Pull pole main purposes are two: push (for load/dunnage orientation) and pull (for tag line/dunnage retrieval).

There are few push/pull pole models on sale but those are usually very expensive. Manufacturing one is simple and quick: a broom and a chisel hand guard are needed.

  1. Insert chisel hand guard on the top of broomstick
  2. Remove bristles from broom brush and bend it to one side making a hook
  3. Paint the tool as you like
